Arthur was born and raised in Ridgewood, NY, one of 9 children born to Charles and Margaret Wittmer. Arthur spent his life working as an armed guard for Wells Fargo and Monticello Raceway. He enjoyed making breakfast for all of his family visiting in the summers. Arthur loved his Mets and an impressive collection of memorabilia that he would be happy to speak about for hours. He also loved to go hunting with his sons, and there were many nights you could find Arthur and his siblings sitting around a card table playing for change.
