Fresh Pond Road in Ridgewood was decked out this past weekend for the Annual Fresh Pond Road 4-Day festival. Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings plus Sunday from 3PM through 9PM — the festival didn’t disappoint. Tens of thousands of people enjoyed the food, games, music and the centerpiece of the festival; a ferris wheel towered above the tallest buildings on Fresh Pond.
“It’s bringing Great Adventure to Ridgewood,” said one happy Fresh Pond Road resident. “I can’t think of a better way to spend my Saturday night.”
The Federazione Italio-Americana of Brooklyn and Queens has been running the festival every year at the same time for 3 decades. Most of the vendors are now off to the 5-day San Gennaro Feast on Mulberry Street in Little Italy.
