SEL R-Line Boosts VW Tiguan to the Top

Volkswagen has impressed once more, elevating the already stellar 2025 Tiguan line with the SEL R-Line. The top-level trim is loaded to the brim with tech and packed with power.

The SEL R-Line comes standard with VW’s 4MOTION All-Wheel Drive, where other trims have an option to add 4MOTION instead of the standard Front-Wheel Drive. Tiguan provides an impressive 201-horsepower with its 2-liter turbocharged engine.

The Tiguan offers a towing capacity of up to 2,200 kg and is a reliable towing vehicle even in snowy conditions.

Inside you can enjoy climate control, ambient lighting, 4-way power lumbar support for the driver, heated and ventilated front seats, and a Harmon Kardon 12-speaker audio system. The driver’s seat can also memorize three settings for added ease.

Volkswagen’s IQ.DRIVE provides the Tiguan with countless safety features. Tiguan monitors traffic ahead, in your blind spots, and behind you. Travel assist helps bring together adaptive cruise control and lane assist.

The Tiguan SEL R-Line is a little more pricey, starting at around $41,180. Other trims on the Tiguan line start lower, around $30,245 for the Tiguan S or $36,205 for the Tiguan SE R-Line Black. The 2025 models provide the same engine output, so the cost is reflected in the added features.

Color options include flashy bright colors like Avocado Green Pearl and Monterey Blue Pearl, a more brown tone with Sandstone Uni, and grayscale options like Deep Black Pearl, Opal White Pearl, Platinum Gray Metallic, Pure White, and Pyrite Silver Metallic. The SEL R-Line has three interior options; Grigio & Black, Mistral, and Amber Brown.
