It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Laura Gomez of Astoria, Queens. devoted mother, sister, and friend, Laura’s warmth, creativity, and unwavering faith touched the lives of all who knew her. Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Laura was raised in a loving family and carried the values of her Catholic faith throughout her life. Her deep connection to God guided her through life’s challenges, and her religious devotion was a cornerstone of her character. Laura was a vibrant, loving, and fiercely caring woman. She devoted herself entirely to her only daughter, Maria Tapia, and was a constant source of love and support. Her daughter was her pride and joy, and their bond was unbreakable. She also shared a close and loving relationship with her siblings-four brothers and two sisters and cherished her role in the family, always ready with a laugh or a word of encouragement when needed. A naturally creative soul, Laura had a unique ability to make the ordinary extraordinary. Whether through her artistic endeavors, her imaginative cooking, or her flair for home decoration, she brought beauty and joy to everything she touched. Her sense of humor was infectious, and she knew how to make everyone around her feel special and loved. Laura will be remembered for her boundless kindness, her selflessness, and the laughter she shared with all who were lucky enough to know her. She was a strong, resilient woman who placed her family first and nurtured her loved ones with unwavering dedication. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Maria Tapia, husband Gerardo Tapia and her siblings.
