ARTHUR LORUSSO

Arthur Lorusso, died Thursday, October 3, 2024 at the age of 61. Arthur was born and raised in Maspeth, New York. He was a good husband to his wife Diane and father to his son Dominic. He was the beloved son to his parents whom pre-deceased him (Anna Lorusso) and (Domenico Lorusso). Arthur is also survived by his sister (Ester), sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, nieces, a nephew, many cousins & many wonderful lifelong friends! Arthur loved airplanes, so it’s no coincidence he started his first career with TWA, where he worked his way up to Security Manager in Cargo. Arthur would meet friends there that he kept in touch with throughout his life. We were afforded many great trips thanks to the benefits of his working with TWA. Circumstances in 2001 ended his time with TWA, but his experience & skillset granted him an opportunity to get a promising job with Homeland Security/TSA where he became an Inspector. Arthur received many accolades throughout his 16 year career there, too many to acknowledge, but all were credited to his outstanding work ethic. Not one to stay still, he left the TSA and shortly thereafter, landed a job with the Four Seasons Hotel (Downtown NYC) through a contracted security firm as a security guard. Eventually he was hired on the Four Seasons team as their Assistant Security Director. He was the first contracted employee there to receive an award for excellence. Arthur retired early to which our son Dominic and I are eternally grateful that he had a chance to enjoy leisure time with us! Arthur always loved to have a good time so we are grateful for the friendships that sustained him and the special memories that are deeply embedded within him & us! Arthur taught Dominic to ski at a young age following in his father’s footsteps. They took many father and son trips together; I’m grateful Dominic can look back and remember these special times fondly. Arthur should be remembered fondly for many reasons, but I think he would want mostly everyone to remember how he could make them laugh! Mass of Christian Burial offered at St. Adalbert’s Church on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 10 AM. Interment followed at St. John Cemetery, Middle Village, NY under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Avenue Maspeth, NY 11378 www.papaverofuneralhome.com
