ANTOINETTE GALIZIA

Antoinette Galizia, died Sunday, May 26, 2024 at the age of 92. Antoinette Galizia, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt passed away on May 26, 2024. In her 92 years, she led a full and active life. She was a lifelong resident of Elmhurst and parishioner of St. Adalbert’s. She married her loving husband Alfred on April 7, 1956 and grew a family that now numbers more than 30 members. She instilled in them strong family values, the importance of hard work, and an appreciation for living life and having fun. She was always the life of the party, dancing, playing games, enjoying a glass of wine. She worked in the local branch of Chase Manhattan Bank. Over the years, she has volunteered at St. Adalbert’s in various capacities, helping to organize events such as Italian night, ironing alter linens, and as a member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Society. She served as the treasurer of the local chapter of AARP. She is survived by her husband Alfred; children Anthony, Stephen, Joseph and Christine, daughters-in-law Maryanne, Rosalia and Sandra; grandchildren Janine, Jenna, Elizabeth, Marissa, Matthew, Gina, Dana, Erica, Caitlin, Megan and Thomas; great grandchildren Christian, Liam, Luke, Mae, Matthew, Luca, Harper, Antoinette and Catherine; and sister Rose. She lives on in all of our hearts.
