REV. MICHAEL R. ROSS

Rev. Michael R. Ross passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of 35 years to LaVerne Ross, loving father of Keith, Susan and Peter, stepfather of John and Kevin, father-in-law of Lori, cherished grandfather of Jonathan, Brian, Stephanie, Bella, Sophie, Mickey, Schuyler and Chloe, brother-in-law of Denise McBride and also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Rev. Michael Ross served as the Pastor of Covenant Lutheran Church for over 38 years, as Chaplain of the NYC Department of Corrections, and as Vice President of Local Union DC 37. Rev. Ross was a United States Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam Era. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: American Cancer Society. Funeral Services held at Covenant Lutheran Church, Ridgewood, NY on Monday, October 23, 2023 at 10:30 AM. Interment followed at Lutheran All-Faiths Cemetery, Middle Village, NY under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Avenue, Maspeth NY 11378.
