JOSEPH F. BYRNE

Joseph F. Byrne passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023 at the age of 97. Beloved husband of the late Rosaleen Byrne, loving father of Sheila (Tom) Brennan and Eileen (Jeff) Richards, cherished grandfather of Rose, Nora, Mary Claire and Kathleen, and dear brother of the late Claire, Therese, John and Bernadette.  Mr. Byrne was a United States Army Veteran who served during World War II and retired NYPD Police Officer. Mass of Christian Burial offered at St. Mary’s Church on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 9:30 AM. Interment followed at Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, NY under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Avenue, Maspeth NY 11378.
