Andrew received his degree in Communications and Sociology from Hunter College, and began working with JP Morgan Chase. He left after 14 years as vice president of Finance.
“Working at JP Morgan helped me establish a lot of my contacts that I didn’t know would bless me with my current life,” said EricAndrew.
He took some time off after working since he was 15 years old and started to develop his contacts with his new free time. Then he began working as chief financial officer for four companies that supported the arts and entertainment world.
This is when he began to attend events seriously and started to photograph himself and others with local and big name celebrities and it helped snowball his contact list.
“My friends used to ask me where all of my pictures came from when my list was about 25 people. Thanks to word of mouth it has since grown to over 10,000 people and over 50 celebrities included,” said Andrew.
Now Andrew uses his myriad of contacts to support charities, new and established. He attended the annual Live Out Loud Trail Blazer event for LGBT youth, which raises money for scholarships to LGBT students who want to continue their education.
He also works to promote through his contacts the newly launched www.imfromdriftwood.com, a website that chronicles true daily stories of LGBT people and hopes to let other gay people know that they are not alone.
“Life is all about connections and when you make them, you can help others,” said Eric Andrew.
