As our area is being hit by the summer's first prolonged heat wave, we are hearing from Con Edison that power conservation must be followed to prevent blackouts and brownouts.
Why is it that after spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to upgrade their electrical grid system, this utility company still cannot seem to meet the electrical demands of its customers?
Yes, conservation should be practiced by the public, but in this modern day and age we should not have to worry about losing electrical service during a summer heat wave.
Con Edison, get your act together!
Sincerely,
John Amato
