Weiner was on The Daily Show last week, talking with old pal Stewart and cracking wise about their good old days foregoing pants and hanging at the beach and scandalous photos, and at some point managed to get in a little talk about health care and other national news of import.
However, professionally, we have to take Stewart to task for not hitting Weiner with the hard questions and letting him off easy, probably because they are dear old friends. Right before Weiner joined Stewart on set, Stewart did an entire bit about a certain congressman, namely Congressman Dick Sweat of New Hampshire, and then proceeds to totally gloss over the fact that his next guest's last name is “Weiner.”
Irresponsible, Mr. Stewart, irresponsible.
