Williamsburg is stepping it up with these bars you must see to believe.

The Lazy Catfish is on Lorimer Street. Cool name, huh? When we asked the owner how he picked the name, he answered "Well, I like catfish, and lazy just sorta sounded cool."

What a guy!

Anyway, this bar serves free PBR on Tuesday nights. Not a typo, folks. It's free Pabst Blue Ribbon beer from 8:30 till 10 p.m. every Tuesday, and you can keep going to get more. The beer is $2 after 10. Perfect for a cheap date? I'd say so. The bar also serves Southern-style food. The catfish popper is a big hit. Lazy Catfish is located at 593 Lorimer Street (between Conselyea Street & Metropolitan Avenue). It can get a bit crowded, but for free beer few complain. The owner is looking to open up another Lazy somewhere in Bay Ridge because of the bar's popularity. Stay posted for more information. Follow us on twitter at BKEvents. Every Friday we update you on picks of the weekend.

Now if free beer doesn't get you, maybe free pizza will!

The Alligator Lounge, located at 600 Metropolitan Avenue (between Lorimer & Leonard street) serves a free personal pizza with a purchase of a draft beer every night until 3:30 a.m. The brick oven pizza is cooked in front of you and tastes pretty good, too! Only in Williamsburg will you find a bar with free beer and free pizza within a block of each other. The bar has a calm and open atmosphere. The décor is pretty artsy. Cute place, if just just to relax, and maybe shoot some pool. Its sister bar, The Crocodile Lounge, is in Manhattan. Same deal.

If, on the other hand, you're feeling like a little competition, you can visit Barcade. That's a mix of bar and arcade. Clever! Located at 388 Union Avenue (between Powers & Ainslie streets). Barcade has fantastic selection of beer and feels quite spacious. With dozens of old school arcade games to play, instead of the old-fashioned sit down dinner date, you can play against your date in Frogger or Tetris. So if you're not afraid of looking like a video geek, instead of sitting at home with your pizza, beer, and video games, you can go out and socialize at the same time without spending much more than you would sitting at home. One tip here though: for you guys who really get caught up in the game and don't know what's going on around you - pay attention, your next girltoy might just be checking you out, so don't blow it.

Don't tell too many people. They may take away the free beer...
