A recently announced plan to send District 28 students to schools outside their own neighborhoods reflects Schools Chancellor Richard Carranza's clueless approach to his job.
More than half of all New York City students in grades three through eight failed the state's 2019 English Language Arts and Math exams.
This means the majority of our city's elementary and middle school students can't read or write at grade level, nor can they adequately add, subtract or divide.
Carranza tries to solve this situation by playing roulette with kids and their parents.
Rather than improve performance in weak schools, he wants to make all schools equally bad. The only person in our school system who should
be relocated is Carranza - far away from New York City.
Mayor bill de Blasio must fire this fool now.
