Dear Editor,

Regarding your "Back In The Day" feature on November 21, The Long-Island Star-Journal news reports dated November 12, 1941, that you spotlighted don't match

that time period.

For example, the top headline, "UN's Suez Police Are Stalled Again" refers to the Suez War of 1956. The United Nations did not exist in 1941, and neither did expressways, co-op apartments or other subjects featured on the newspaper's front page.

Either the Long Island Star-Journal's editors were very prophetic 78 years ago, or there was a mistake.

Sincerely,

Richard Reif
