The year 1939 is considered by many in the movie industry as the Golden Year of Hollywood. The major movie studios released more motion pictures that year than any other in cinematic history.
Classics such as The Wizard of Oz, Gone With The Wind, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, and Beau Geste were some of the iconic films that graced the movie screens in 1939.
It would be wonderful if all of these films were re-released into theaters so that newer generations of people could see them.
This year marks the 80th anniversary of all of these wonderful films, the likes of which we will never see again.
