Knapp wrong

Dear Editor,

Thomas Knapp's column on May 17 regarding the United States pulling out of the Iran nuclear deal was the most asinine opinion piece I've ever read.

Astoundingly, it is Knapp's opinion that this deal was great for us and bad for Iran, and that somehow we are going back on our word as a country?

President Barack Obama single-handedly pulled Iran from the brink of insolvency. Iran is the biggest state sponsor of terrorism in the world, as they support Bashar al-Assad in Syria and Hamas and Hezbollah.

And Iran was not in compliance with any part of this bogus agreement. President Donald Trump has warned them to abide by the "onerous" rules John Kerry and Obama put upon them, and they have made no attempt to do so, as if anyone expected that Iran could be trusted.

Knapp, like the majority of those who falsely call themselves journalists, are okay with anything that happens as long as they can attack and get rid of Trump.

Sincerely,

Jay Pelc

Brooklyn
