Brooklyn native Dom Scala was feted at CARMINE’S PIZZERIA in Williamsburg this past Thursday to celebrate the publication of his new book “ONE-ON-ONE BASEBALL,” a compendium of essential baseball skills and drills and wisdom from his decades as a coach, as well as personal anecdotes from Scala’s storied career with St. John’s University, the Oakland Athletics, New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates, and more. Joining Scala for a photo here are easily the youngest of his fans, future Little Leaguers Anthony Masullo (left) and Carmine Gangone, Jr. (right). On Saturday, June 20th, beginning at 7:00 pm, Scala will host a baseball discussion and sign copies of “ONE-ON-ONE BASEBALL” at the BORDERS BOOKSTORE inside The Shops At Atlas Park in Glendale.
