Kudos to Queens native Donald Trump for a great inaugural address and solid start in office. Trump is right, globalism is "globa-loney."
We can't be the world's ATM machine and 911 emergency responder. Charity begins at home, and so must our priorities. Critics say he'll return us to fortress America, but fortresses protect people, open borders don't. Look at Europe.
Our new president torpedoed the Trans-Pacific Partnernership and will renegotiate
NAFTA. Here are thee other actions he can take to put our nation first:
• Cancel all foreign aid, including our $8 billion funding of the UN, and divert that dough to infrastructure projects, veterans' health care, and other vital national needs.
• Make English our nation's official language by requiring all federal agencies and local agencies receiving federal funds to communicate with the public only in English. Flushing is a perfect example of multicultural chaos that now divides us.
• End the Social Security Administration's double standard for overseas spending. People who permanently reside outside of their home countries are called expatriates. They don't deserve support from a nation they abandoned.
It's time for all of us to put America first, last & always. Trump is on the right track.
