A tough lesson

Dear Editor,

I do not think the Flushing school principal did anything wrong excluding those kids that could not pay the carnival fee. I think these kids need to learn life is about the “haves” and the “have-nots.” Only this will make they try to do their best so they can have the best.

Unfortunately, a lot of people think gold is all over the floor when they come here, and they believe it even more when taxpayers' money go towards food stamps and other assistance for these people.

Why should kids that can't afford things get things for free when those that can afford it have to pay?
