In the 17 & under boys division of Heroes basketball league, the Four Ones beat the HSAC Eagles by a final score of 38 to 30 on Wednesday. The high scorers for the Four Ones were Casey LaMountain with 11 points and Troy Gaugler with 7. The high scorers for the HSAC Eagles were Mashud Ahmed with 8 and Aracello Pellot with 6. It was a close game until the Four Ones pulled away in the end of the third quarter and stayed with the lead for the rest of the game. Nick Wint also contributed in the winning effort with great defense.

On Wednesday, in the 17 & under boys division, the Applied Communications beat the FDNY by a final score of 54 to 36. It was the play of Carliek Matthews that was outstanding, providing great defense for the winning team Applied Communications, as they pulled away and never looked back for the win. The high scorers for the Applied Communications were Malik Fearon with 15 points and Rich Kolb with 10. The high scorer for FDNY was Andrew Winter with 19. Sid Franlin also contributed in the winning effort team by helping the team score and rebound.
