New rules unfair

Dear Editor:

Regarding the new Department of Sanitation electronics recycling rules, a person who takes care of the trash for an apartment building of more than 10 units can call and have a single television or computer collected from their doorstep.

As a homeowner, I will be required to lug a non-functioning, 45-pound, 55-inch television on a bus to a very limited number of drop-off locations.

How about the same consideration for homeowners, especially the elderly and those without cars?

Sincerely,

Bill Herbert
