It truly is amazing that we are now seven months into 2014. Yes, as of this week we begin July 1. Our little town of Woodhaven and our Woodhaven Business Improvement District after a cold winter and a short spring now enters summer. And we welcome the warmth of the sun which is so invigorating and healing.

Throughout Woodhaven our streets are being repaved. The streets have all been milled and we have been advised that the asphalt will be poured after July 4. The collapsed building at 78-19 Jamaica Avenue- The Office of the Queens Borough President has advised that the collapsed building at 78-19 Jamiaca Avenue will be demolished. At this time the NYC Buildings Department is finalizing this project of demolition.

It is a shame that the Woodhaven Richmond Hill Ambulance Corps and the Woodhaven Senior Citizen Center are suffering due to this building owner's negligence and irresponsibility.
