After a two-month wait, regular patrons of local favorite MASPETH PIZZA once again flocked to the Grand Avenue eatery this Monday as the pizzeria celebrated its re-opening after an extensive (and rather impressive, if we say so ourselves) renovation. While neighborhood aficionados can rest assured that the very best of all their favorite items are definitely still on hand – like the Barbecue Chicken pizza, the Broccoli Pinwheels, Garlic Knots, and more – what’s causing even more of a stir these days is how fantastic the place looks. Wooden tables and chairs now pepper the greatly expanded dining area, and the entire restaurant’s décor incorporates an assortment of sepia-toned tile work, ornate lighting sconces, and more. The new emphasis is on more of a leisurely kind of dining experience as opposed to merely fast food – there’s even a big flat-screen TV in the corner to entice you into sticking around for a while! Consider yourselves hereby advised to go in and check it out for yourself (which we’ll probably be doing ourselves several times this week), and definitely stay tuned to these pages for further details about additional menu items, and other upcoming happenings at MASPETH PIZZA.
