Queens College will host Kenneth Adams, president and CEO of Empire State Development and commissioner of New York State Department of Economic Development, this week.

Adams will be discussing economic development initiatives under Governor Andrew Cuomo.

The forum will take place on Friday, June 21, from 8 to 10 a.m. at the college, located at 65-30 Kissena Boulevard. It's one in a series of business forums the college has been holding over the past year.

“These forums bring the business community to campus to interact with our faculty, alumni and students with influential thinkers in the fields ranging from politics to science and technology to capital markets,” said Dale Nussbaum, director of campus events services.

In additions to Adams' talk, four scholarships will be awarded to Queens College business students. The Queens Chamber of Commerce present one student with its Hank Auffarth scholarship, Investors Bank will be handing out two merit-based scholarships, and the fourth will come from money that was collected from the sponsors of the event.

To RSVP for the forum, email Business.forum@qc.cuny.edu or call (718) 997-2927.
