World-Play.org finally pulled away for good with great offensive play fed by the passing of Gregory Magid and a defense that held Our Lady of Snow to just three points only in the final quarter. The high scorers for World-Play.org were Jeremy Washington with 16 points and Emil Krcic with 10 points. For Our Lady of Snows, the high scorer was Rooshi Parik with six points.

In the 12 and Under Boys Division, American Classic Cakes beat the Byre Bulls, 21-3, in a game that saw American Classic Cakes enjoying a commanding 23-0 halftime lead. The high scorers for American Classic Cakes were Kamil Wojtowicz with eight points and Angelina Caracci with four, with James Abbot dominating the boards. The high scorer for Byre Bulls was Nicole Cravotta with two points.

In the 12 and Under Boys Division, Our Lady of Grace beat the Finishers, 57-19. The high scorers for Our Lady of Grace were David K. with 17 points and Adem Becaj with 15 points. The high scorer from the Finishers was A.J. Piedra with five points. Our Lady of Grace built a lead, which it held throughout the game, with fast breaks and easy lay-ups. Elijah Johnson played outstanding defense, while Hakim Melvin pulled in rebound after rebound. The Finishers’ Michael Hubelt did his best on defense while contributing five points of his own.

In 14 and Under Boys Division, St. Kevin’s topped St. Margaret’s, 42-24. St. Kevin’s had a 23-13 haltime lead, but the game was within reach until St. Kevin’s pulled away with lock-down defense, including the outstanding play of Tory Brown, and a menacing full-court press in the second half. The high scorers for St. Kevin’s were Justus Acosta with 13 points and Jack Edwards with 11. For St. Margaret’s, the high scorer was Charlie Giacomalla with nine points.

HiLo Pro 38

St. Adalberts 27

In the 14 & Under Boys Division, HiLo Pro beat St. Adalberts, 38-27. HiLo Pro had a 20-9 halftime lead, but at the beginning of the fourth quarter St. Adalberts began to claw its way back into the game. With two minutes left, HiLo Pro turned it into a possession game, running out the clock and walking awy with the victory. The top scorers for HiLo Pro were Joshua Ortiz with 11 points and Daniel Piszcatovski with nine points. For St. Adalberts, the high scorer was Patric Garcia with eight points. HiLo Pro’s Marc Amenta also contributed to the win with outstanding rebounding and eight points of his own.

In the 14 & Under Boys Division, Street Ballers beat Flushing Express, 53-43. Street Ballers led 33-19 at the half and fought off a valiant comeback effort by Flushing Express in the final quarter with tough defense on the part of Neil and Jessica Hickey. The high scorers for Street Ballers were Amahri Harper with 22 points and Chris Diaz with 16 points. The top scorer for Flushing Express was Ryan R. with 16 points.
