The forum will give homeowners an opportunity to learn about New York City’s property tax system, including how properties are assessed, appealing a property tax valuation, and the various exemptions and abatements available for property owners.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet one on one with Department of Finance representatives to review their property taxes. The forum will be held at P.S. 113, located at 78-23 87th Street in Glendale, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
“I understand that property taxes are frustrating and confusing to many residents, and some may even be unfairly taxed” said Crowley. “This forum will be a good opportunity for homeowners to get answers from the Department of Finance about their property taxes.”
