The park, located along the westbound service road of the LIE and Maurice Avenue, includes tennis and basketball courts and fields for baseball and softball. They all have lights for competitive play at night, and are heavily used after 9 p.m., however “no standing” rules go into effect at 9 p.m. Motorists who drive to the park are forced to move their cars at 9 p.m. or risk a ticket.
Neighbors say the games go on until 11 p.m., which is when the new “no standing” rules will go into effect. The new regulations will allow parking until 11 p.m.
