Squadron recently got a glowing plug from Chris Hayes of MSNBC's Up in the new issue of Rolling Stone in a small column titled “What Should Be Big” on page 74. According to Hayes, in addition to outrage over the “watering-down of the Dodd-Frank Act” and the “death of the solar industry,” that list includes Squadron.
Of Squadron, Hayes writes: “For an up-and-coming progressive politician, New York state senator Daniel Squadron – who represents Lower Manhattan and parts of Brooklyn – is young and clearly going places.”
Wow...clearly going places! That's pretty high praise for a state senator from New York. We wonder how many people in Arizona picked up their copy of Rolling Stone, read Hayes' column, and thought “Daniel who?”
Probably just about all of them, we imagine.
