A string of burglaries plagued Middle Village in recent nights, as perpetrators entered through open windows, grabbed valuables left in plain sight and ran off.

There were two burglaries on May 10th, one on 83rd Place off 63rd Avenue between 1 and 7 a.m., and another on 77th Place off Juniper Valley Road between 1:30 and 6:30 a.m.

There was another at a restaurant on 62nd Avenue off 83rd Street at about 1 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Captain Michael Cody of the 104th Precinct pledged to have the mobile command post in the area along with undercover officers patrolling the streets.

Police ask that residents call 911 if suspicious behavior is observed.
