Senior Jean Paul Arias scored 40 points and pulled down a career high 20 rebounds to lead Martin Luther over St. Demetrios 73-46.

MLS (3-6 overall and 1-2 PSAA) needed the standout performance, as the Cougars only had five players the entire game with two players out sick and two others out with grade challenges

New Coach John Della Marco has the team play an up-tempo game with an aggressive attacking defense. "After three weeks of deploying a new scheme the team is starting to understand the system we want to play," he said.

Forward Akram Bahabishi scored 18 points to help the Cougars pull away in the second half; MLS was up only 26-25 at halftime but then went on a15-0 run to pull away in the fourth quarter. Austin Rothman added eight points, Patrick Kelly had seven points, with point guard Bryan Fonseca finishing the night with ten assists.
