Lady Cougars riding high

The Martin Luther Lady Cougars continue to display a high-octane offense, scoring over 50 points against GNYA (Greater New York Academy) in PSAA Conference play, defeating them 53-17. This year, the junior varsity team is averaging 48 points per game and allowing less then 18 points.

Led by freshman point guard Leslly Marmolejo's 18 points and Xena Andersen's 16 points, Martin Luther got off to a 10-2 lead and never looked back. Forward Franchon Martinez chipped in with eight points, and Dominica Gallarraga added four points, four rebounds and three assists to help the Cougars to a 4-0 record.
