The May 30th parade kicked off at Myrtle and Cooper avenues, following an invocation and remarks from various elected officials.
“Those of us who have not served will always remember” the sacrifice made by veterans, said Assemblywoman Cathy Nolan.
Charles Spiegel, an 83-year-old Korea War veteran, was the Grand Marshal.
“It’s a wonderful honor,” said Spiegel, a Glendale resident and former truck driver. “There’s nothing like it.”
