The event, organized by Expos Your Business in partnership with the NYC Business Networking Group, began with a Green Seminar and Breakfast, which featured some of the green businesses in the city. Seminars on marketing and social media were also offered to attendees and exhibitors throughout the day.
“We were very happy with the success of the show,” said Ilana Eberson. “The day highlighted some excellent classes to help business owners grow their business.”
Throughout the day, prizes were raffled off, including a five-day, four-night vacation cruise package by Carnival Cruises and Promotion Company of America.
The expo also ushered in many attendees.
Brooklyn resident and recent graduate Yaphet Murphy attended to connect with the business community after hearing about it on LinkedIn. “People were open and willing to speak,” he said. “Everybody seemed enthusiastic.”
The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce president Carl Hum was on hand, and Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz also made an appearance.
“Brooklyn is the headquarters of some of the most dynamic and cutting-edge businesses,” said Markowitz. “Whenever you can gather businesses together to help the bottom line and encourage growth in the small business sector, it's a very positive impact for all of Brooklyn. This is our economic engine.”
