Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig was involved in a bar altercation with his sister that has prompted a Major League Baseball investigation for a possible domestic violence policy violation. The Los Angeles Times and TMZ reported that an argument took place at the Blue Martini, with Puig fighting with a bouncer and suffering a swollen left eye and bumps and bruises to his face. TMZ said Puig shoved his sister and resisted when bouncers asked him to leave.
Protesters joined a worldwide wave of marches Saturday demanding leaders craft a pact to avert a climate catastrophe when they gather in a still-shaken Paris. Some 150 leaders, including US President Barack Obama, China's Xi Jinping, India's Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin, will attend the start of the Paris conference, which is tasked with reaching the first truly universal climate pact. The goal is to limit average global warming to two degrees Celsius (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit), perhaps less, over pre-Industrial Revolution levels by curbing fossil fuel emissions blamed for climate change.
