A suicide bomber destroyed the number 30 double-decker bus in Tavistock Square, London, on July 7, 2005Britain on Tuesday commemorated the 10th anniversary of the London suicide bombings that claimed 52 lives, starting with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Hyde Park memorial in honour of the victims. Prime Minister David Cameron laid a floral tribute in the park at 8:50 am (0750 GMT), the time the first of four bombs was detonated on the city's transport system on July 7, 2005 by homegrown jihadists. The anniversary comes less than a fortnight after an attack in Tunisia highlighted the ongoing Islamist threat.

Juncker said it was not clear what message Greek voters had endorsed by rejecting a deal which had expired several days before Sunday's plebiscite.

Cosby, accused of sexual assault by some 30 women over decades but who has so far escaped justice, made the admission in a deposition in 2005, talking about an incident from 1976. The 77-year-old was questioned by Dolores Troiani, a lawyer for Andrea Constand, a former women's basketball director at Philadelphia's Temple University where Cosby studied and was a member of the board of trustees.
