The equivalent of 7,800 pages of messages, mostly from 2012 and 2013, were checked for classified information and then made public on a department website: Among the emails was apparent acknowledgement from Clinton, perhaps the world's most important diplomat at the time, that her email and Blackberry device were down for two weeks following Hurricane Sandy, which slammed the northeast coast in October 2012.

Former New York State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver arrives at the Manhattan U.S. District Courthouse in New YorkBy Nate Raymond and Joseph Ax NEW YORK (Reuters) - Sheldon Silver, one of New York state's most powerful politicians for two decades, was convicted on Monday of abusing his office to collect as much as $4 million in illegal bribes and kickbacks. A federal jury in Manhattan found Silver, 71, guilty of all seven counts he faced, including fraud, extortion and money laundering, following a three-week trial. The verdict caps a stunning fall for Silver, a Democrat who as speaker of the New York State Assembly enjoyed immense political influence before his arrest in January.
