American fast food icon McDonald's, seeking to return the shine to its golden arches, unveiled a turnaround plan Monday to combat sagging sales and shifting consumer tastes. The global giant, which has languished amid rising concerns about obesity and food quality, will sell off more company-owned restaurants to franchisees, restructure its international operations and cut costs.
