Gambian President Yahya Jammeh has been told to stand down after 22 years in powerGambia's Yahya Jammeh agreed "in principle" to hand over power to President Adama Barrow on Friday, Mauritanian and Guinean sources said, but differences remained before a full deal could be reached. Mauritania's President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz and Guinea's Alpha Conde held several hours of talks with Jammeh in which they agreed he should step aside but not how and where he would live out his exile. Troops from five African nations were stationed on the tiny nation's borders in the event the last-ditch talks fell through, as it was confirmed Conde would stay into Saturday to iron out remaining disagreements.

FILE - In this Oct. 23, 2016, file photo, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (12) is sacked by Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebackers Jarvis Jones (95) and Anthony Chickillo (56) during the second half of an NFL football game in Pittsburgh. The Steelers haven’t been great at pressuring quarterbacks recently, or had much historical success against Brady. But Brady will face a much healthier Steelers' pass rush in the AFC Championship on Sunday, than he did in Week 7’s win. Pittsburgh linebacker Ryan Shazier was returning from a knee injury; James Harrison played only 42 percent of the snaps and Bud Dupree was on injured reserve. (AP Photo/Don Wright, File)FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — Take it from Wade Phillips, slowing down Tom Brady is a goal often sought, but seldom achieved.

A protest sign is pictured before the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump on January 20, 2017 in Washington, DCMasked, black-clad protesters carrying anarchist flags smashed windows and scuffled with riot police Friday in downtown Washington, blocks away from the route of the parade in honor of newly sworn-in President Donald Trump. Washington police arrested more than 90 people over acts of vandalism committed on the fringe of peaceful citywide demonstrations being held against Trump's inauguration. Just before the parade was due to begin, clashes broke out between 400 to 500 stone-throwing protesters and riot police, who responded with tear gas -- the second violent flare-up in the space of a few hours.
