Dear Editor:

After hearing Public Advocate Letitia James’ recent illogical advice for Mayor Bill de Blasio to ban uniformed city employees from marching in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade since it would purportedly project anti-gay sentiments because the parade sponsors refuse gay pride propaganda, I am convinced as to the real reason why the Democratic Party nominated her in the first place.

The reason is reminiscent of President Richard Nixon’s stated reason for choosing Spiro Agnew as his running mate in 1972. Nixon said, paraphrased, that nobody in their right mind would assassinate him with Agnew on the ticket because, if they do, then they’ll be stuck with him as president.

The New York City Charter authorizes a 90-day temporary mayoralty of the public advocate is something happens to the mayor until a special election is held. And, the Lady in Waiting James is ten times worse in Leftist ideology than de Blasio.

And why do all these liberal Democrats afraid to appear “anti-gay,” but they don’t care about being perceived as anti-Catholic in their thoughts and actions? For God’s sake, it’s a parade celebrating Irish and Catholic heritages, not one’s sexual orientation.
