Visions has offered their services to the visually impaired for the last 86 years, and today they are staying dedicated to their cause by helping the blind victims of Hurricane Sandy.
The group is committed to replacing and repairing their losses in the storm for the victims who have proof of legal blindness or vision loss, once again delivering hope to those hurt most by this devastating storm.
“We will replace vision rehabilitation equipment that was lost or damaged,” assured Nancy Miller, executive director.
While they too have just recently returned back to full service, the company is currently out assessing information from the community to find out true severity of the damage.
The facility cannot, however, replace furniture, beds, computers or appliances
“Visions recovery fund is offering enhanced mobility and rehabilitation training to assist people who are blind, to adapt to new homes and environments,” Miller explained.
