Dear Editor,

As a CUNY alumnus, I'm outraged over a proposed $200 tuition hike. This hurts

students who who now pay $6,930 a year, but don't get the quality of education they pay for because distance learning has replaced their classroom experience.

The median family income of CUNY students is $40,000. If CUNY wants to raise more money, cut the pay of top executives like Chancellor Felix Matos Rodriguez, who gets $670,000 a year, plus a $7,500 monthly housing stipend.

CUNY should also cut the pay of its 25 college presidents.
