New Jersey has high taxes and a culture of political corruption. Our state lacks both a unified statewide identity and a large anchor city. Instead, the northern part of the state looks towards New York City and the southern part looks towards Philadelphia for a de facto regional urban capitol.
The only thing that unites New Jersey is a statewide problem with corruption, mismanagement and nepotism. To solve this, New Jersey should be dissolved as a state and the territory should be absorbed into neighboring states.
Sussex, Warren, Hunterdon, Gloucester, Camden and Mercer counties should join Pennsylvania. Passaic, Bergen, Morris, Essex, Hudson, Somerset, Union and Middlesex counties should join New York. Salem, Burlington, Ocean, Monmouth, Atlantic, Cumberland and Cape May counties should join Delaware.
Let’s finally solve New Jersey’s problems by closing down the state.
