Same old fear-mongering

Dear Editor:

On the subject of Mitch Daniels...

More of the same old rhetoric from the same old rich Republicans protecting their financial interests with made-up lies, attempting to pander to voters who feel threatened by the demographic changes going on around them.

These same voters are so blinded by Republican fear mongers that they fail to realize that the men they are backing, will do absolutely nothing to help anyone but themselves.

Their record is lackluster, their accomplishments are nonexistent, and their policies are divisive, self-serving, and destructive.

What was the GOP hierarchy thinking of when they picked Daniels to give a response to the State of the Union speech. We are talking about a man who has kept Indiana's deficit raging out of control and proposed deep cuts to his state's educational system.

The highlight of his speech was when he said that President Barack Obama was not the cause of this country's financial collapse.

It was obvious that Daniels' response speech was written weeks ago. Everything he had to say hardly addressed what the President spoke about.

The five-minute speech was just more Republican posturing, campaigning and Obama bashing. It was a total waste of my time and an insult to the intelligence of the American voter.
