Orchid festival returns to QBG

The Queens Botanical Garden (QBG) and Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in New York will host the seventh annual “Taiwan: A World of Orchids” exhibit this weekend. will present a weekend-long exhibit of at the Garden from Friday, October 16 through Sunday, October 18.

It will feature 500 pots of stunning orchids, art celebrating Taiwanese culture by Sandy Yeh and individuals of the North America Pastel Artists Association, and photography contributed or curated by Joseph Hsu.

“At a time when pleasures like travel are challenging or out of reach, we’re so thrilled we were able to work together to safely bring this show back to the public so people can experience the beauty of Taiwanese culture,” said QBG ambassador Pauline Huang. “I hope everyone can spend a little time taking in the fresh air and beautiful sights of the Garden and the exhibit this weekend.”

This year’s exhibit is outdoors on QBG’s covered terrace. To follow safety guidelines, a maximum of 25 people at a time will be able to view and walk through the exhibit. For more information, click here.
