Not Israel's fault

Dear Editor:

Too many who find reason to oppose Israel in its occupation and seemingly hard-headed refusal to seek a negotiated peace with the Palestinians, this current conflict was not Israel’s fault. It was visited upon them by human vipers who gleefully murdered three young boys, tossing them aside as so much refuse.

The Israelis who responded by being as base and criminal by setting a Palestinian boy on fire deserve nothing more that the cruelest agony society can impose upon them. The Israeli government found these child killers and will try them, seeking the harshest sentence that may be imposed.

The Palestinians did nothing to locate arrest and bring to justice the killers of the three Israeli boys. When the news broke of the Palestinian killed by Israelis, the missile attacks began.

The rockets are fired from the alleys, homes and religious centers of Gaza. The logic for doing so seems to be that Israeli response will injure and kill Palestinian civilians thereby earning worldwide condemnation of Israel.

It is not surprising that throughout the Middle East, Arab leaders have only united in their outcry against Israel while finding nothing to fault Hamas or the PLO leadership. This silence and one sidedness should not be surprising to anyone in the West.

Outrageous acts by Muslims receive little recognition from the silent Muslim majority. Either they concur in acts of violence in the name of the Prophet or they are frightened to speak out. As a result, why would Muslims not comprehend that they are feared and suspected of being untrusted and unwelcomed?
