Move over, bikers

Dear Editor:

I am so disgusted with bike lanes.

Now, on the Greenpoint Avenue Bridge, the traffic is bad enough drivers have to squeeze over for bikes. Bikers have no consideration for cars, they think they own the road.

We car owners have to pay for registration, car insurance, take tests to get a license, stop at red lights an obey traffic laws. I see bikers going through red lights and almost getting hit by cars.

The city has paint to make bike lanes- but none for white paint to make care lanes. I myself almost hit two bikers. They come flying in front of you like they own the road.

I'm fed up with the city treating them like they pay to ride their bikes. Bikers should have to carry insurance, have to pay for a license, and obey traffic laws, and pass a test just like a car. I hate bikers.

Sincerely,

Rose Decicco

North Brooklyn
