As schools reopen for in-class learning, so does the afterschool programs at Maspeth Town Hall, where leadership are taking every precaution to keep students and instructors as safe as possible.

“All of our staff are required to get their temperature checked upon entering the building, wear a face covering at all times during work hours, and uphold social distancing guidelines,” said Sean Kearney, executive director of Operations. “In addition, all of our staff are required to follow a COVID-19 testing schedule on a monthly basis to provide an extra layer of safety.”

Maspeth Town Hall will offer limited in-person services, as well as remote programs via Google Classroom. The program is currently registering participants.

“Maspeth Town Hall staff will be carefully assigned to each classroom to limit physical contact with participants, as well as limit the disruption of transition from in-person to remote programming on a day to day basis,” said Kearney. “Participants will continue to engage in homework help, recreational and STEM-based activities.”
