Martin Luther School in Maspeth honored nearly 65 student athletes this week at the Fall Athletic Awards Assembly. Special awards were presented to the following student athletes:

• Cross Country: (Most Valuable Player) Grant Terdoslavich, (Coaches Award) Timothy Soberano, (Most Improved Player) Nathaniel Triunfel, (Rookie Of The Year) Tyler Ortiz

• Varsity Soccer: (Most Valuable Player) Sabino Grimaldi, (Most Improved Player) David-Paul Schulze, (Coaches Award) Cristiano Grimaldi, (Rookie Of The Year) Lucyna Wierzbicki, (PSAA All Conference) Cristiano Grimaldi and Sabino Grimaldi

• Varsity Volleyball: (Most Valuable Player) Dominique Genise, (Most Improved Player) Esther Schulze, (Coaches Award) Kayla Felix, (Most Spirited Award) Briana Salas, (PSAA All Conference) Emily Fricano and Caitlyn Carbone

• JV Volleyball: (Most Valuable Player) Bianca Rodriguez,(Most Improved Player) Catherine Murillo, (Coaches Award) Alexandra Liszewski, (PSAA All Conference) Alexandra Liszewski and Bianca Rodriguez

“Whether it’s the volleyball court, the soccer pitch or the cross country route, our students continue to excel,” said principal and athletic director James Regan. “We congratulate all of our amazing student athletes.”
