Police are looking for Edmund Manuel for brutally attacking his ex-wife on June 30.

According to reports, Manuel broke into her home at 70-34 57th Drive in Maspeth at approximately 3:15 p.m on June 30, tied her down with duct tape, and viciously beat her for several hours while she went in and out of consciousness.

He then reportedly stole her phones, loose cash and her car following the assault and fled the scene.

“There’s an extensive manhunt on the way for the guy right now,” said 104th Precinct Captain Christopher Manson.

He added Manuel was previously arrested for assaulting his ex-wife and twice violating the order of protection she currently has against him.

“He’s an animal with the way he beat her,” said Manson. “He didn’t just beat her with his fist, but he took an icepick to her eye, slashed her across the eye and now she has a big gash. He’s number one on the manhunt list right now.”

Manuel is a 38-year-old Asian/Pacific Islander with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5'5” tall and weighs 150 pounds. His last known address was 2414 Bathgate Ave. in the Bronx.

Anyone with information on Manuel's whereabouts is asked to call the NYPD's CrimeStoppers hotline at (800) 577-TIPS; contact the 104th Precinct's Det. Christopher Spagnola at (718) 417-2200, or call the Detective Borough of Queens North at (718) 520-9200.

The public can also submit their tips at nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting 274637(CRIMES) and then entering TIP577.
