MIDDLE VILLAGE, NEW YORK 11379- A neighborhood to be proud of. By Jim Turano resident since 1965 and Real Estate Broker since 1979
When people look for a place to live, this should be the number 1 Queens area to go to. We have top rated Public schools. Plenty of Nursery schools, and Pre-k schools. Stores are plentiful. Restaurants by the dozen. A Park that is 10 blocks long with tennis, handball, basketball, and bocce courts, as well as seven baseball fields and a quarter-mile running track around a turf football/soccer field.
Convenience to all stores, 3 supermarkets, butchers, 99cent stores, 8 banks, 8 nail salon and 8 hair salons, 4 bus lines, 4 pizzerias, express buses to Manhattan, a High school-Christ the King, 4 Churches of Worship, and two Malls to go to. And last but not least the M train station on Metropolitan Avenue. You can literally walk to everything.
Strong Community minded area with organizations that care. You will not even see any foot patrolmen around. You will not see Community Driveways full of discarded washing machines, refrigerators, or piles of garbage all over. The Community residents would not stand for it. And any late spring or summer afternoon, you will not hear loud blasting music coming from homes like it is a block party which does happen in many other areas.
